Segovia: A day trip with the fam.

Segovia is the perfect small town to visit if you're in Madrid and want to take an easy day trip. Only thirty minutes away on the train, this was my fourth (or fifth?) visit to Segovia, this time with John and my in-laws. The aqueduct, cathedral, and castle are great spots to tour, and it's fun to wander the small, windy streets, do some window shopping, and stop for lunch and some cafe con leche. The rain held out and we had a great day enjoying one of our last days in Spain together. We sure miss them, but we're so glad to have some great memories with them on our side of the ocean!

It's not every day that you get to see an aqueduct. They sure don't build things like they used to!

If you'd like some warm chicken broth on a cold day, it will cost you a euro and forty cents. Want the spiked version? Add some sherry for only twenty cents more.
